Meniscus (#17)
Meniscus is one of my favorite words. It has many definitions, but i always think of it in terms of surface tension that allows a liquid to rise above the level of the container its in. Part of the reason i like it is that you don’t get to use it very often, but its fun when you do (Fortnight would be another). This podcast could be considered a musical meniscus since there is so much more good music stuffed in one podcast then seem possible . Or not. Haven’t been a Moby fan for a long time, but like his new album. mellow and good. Really excited about The xx. get the album now. Yes the passion pit track is sugary, but its fun so screw you. check out their other stuff for less pop. The Horrors track is sooo great. goes on forever and than takes an unexpected twist. def my cup of tea. Miike Snow is one of my favorite albums right now and i hope this isn’t just a one-off project. Grace Jones is 50 62(!) and still bringing it with a nice assist from Aeroplane. If i could put an erlend oye track on every podcast i’d be happy (i almost have). And remixed by The Twelves? hell yeah! Lastly a new Underworld collaboration, this time with Mark Knight. In other news, my podcast now has almost 1,200 subscribers. crazy.
Meniscus Tracklisting:
Moby - Mistake
The xx - Heart Skipped A Beat
The Golden Filter - Favourite Things
Passion Pit - Little Secrets
Miike Snow - Sylvia

Bradley B Podcast #16: Staycation
Staying in town this summer? no fancy vacation? Well quit your fretting. This month’s podcast is here to save your Staycation. Quite a few of this months tracks are inspired from Coachella ‘09 including Silversun Pickups (get Swoon now!), Beirut and even an OLD SCHOOL remix of Public Enemy. Yes, another track from Phoenix, but its soo good. I tried to find a remix of Lisztomania, but i have yet to find any better than the original. Not crazy about the new Depeche Mode, but In Sympathy is pretty damn good. The new Juan MacLean is fun, especially if you liked Human League. Also really digging Nero’s dubby remix of The Streets. Anyway, happy summer and enjoy.
Staycation Tracklisting:
Beirut - My Night With the Prositute from Marseille
Say Hi - Northwestern Girls
Silversun Pickups - Growing Old Is Getting Old
Depeche Mode - In Sympathy
Empire of the Sun - Walking On a Dream
Public Enemy - Louder Than a Bomb (JMJ Telephone Tap Groove)
Phoenix - Lisztomania
The Juan MacLean - One Day
The Whip - Save My Soul
Beni - Fringe Element (Short Like Me Edit)
Fully Fitted - He Not In
The Streets - Blinded By The Lights (Nero Remix)
Warpaint - Billie Holiday

Bradley B Podcast #15: Not.Penny’s.Boat
Yes, I’m still addicted to Lost, stupid time traveling, Harry Potter cloaked mom’s and all. While this podcast is more themed than inspired by Lost, it does include “The Island” by Erlend Oye’s Whitest Boy Alive. Also, i just learned tonight that one of the band members from Faded Paper Figures actually works for my friend Doug. Totally Lost randomness. I can’t wait for the new Phoenix album, especially after loving their first single 1901. Laughing light of plenty is a great new find and i’m hoping to hear more from them. I can’t get enough of The Twelves, just about every one of their remixes is a good time and their Radiohead mix is amazing.
I’ve decided to go back to enhanced podcasts which means no streaming, but it means i can put artwork, tracklisting and chapters into the podcast. Let me know if you prefer the enhanced version. Be sure to follow me on twitter if you want to be notified about new podcasts, music and mostly useless info about me.

Well, THAT was fun. So exciting that Americans FINALLY got their shit together ( I can’t help but think that i played some part). Can’t wait for 09 and beyond. For now, i’ll have to settle for the end of ‘08 (which actually wasn’t too bad as far as i’m concerned). Anyway, lets hope the new Ladyhawke album is as good as the new track i included here. Through in a few oldie but goodies (as i apt to do) with Daft Punk and Plump DJs featuring Gary Numan. A little latin flavor with Gotan Project and Database/Bonde do Role. I’m not sure if everyone will love the We Have Band track, but i sure do. Ends with a great M83 track. If you don’t have that album yet, you should. I hope to get another podcast out before January, but we’ll see. Enjoy!
The Bradley Effect Tracklist

Deerhunter - Nothing Ever Happened
